GSF Blog 13 Color Challenge

So this is a number 13 of the Global Stamping Friends blog hop! This month it was decided that we would do a color challenge using Pool Party, Night of Navy, Smoky Slate and Whisper White.  I chose to use Flourishing Phrases stamp set.  I am so looking forward to seeing everyones creation.

This stamp set is absolutely wonder and very flexible.  I used the negative frame from the framelet for the flowers and then used the stamp on the Smoky Slate for the "ribbon". Topping it with the Pretty Label punch for the sentiment.

I hope you enjoy our hop and click the arrow button to take you to the next stop!

Happy Stamping!

I did not get my link in early enough however, I am still posting and linking to the list. Enjoy!

GSF: Special Anniversary Bloghop

Welcome to....

Special Anniversay Edition!

So this is a special edition of our Global Stamping Friends blog hop! We have been doing this for 12 months and it has been so fun.  We wanted to do a special blog hop to commerate the event.  We have grown so much over the last few months.  I am so looking forward to seeing everyones creation.

I chose to use totally nontraditional colors for anniversaries, but oh my I love the results. Bermuda Bay and black to me these are absolutely stunning together. I am a cat lady although I do not have bunches of them laying around so, I chose to use the brand new cat punch and the new black crocheted ribbon to give my card just a touch of glam! The celebrate stamp came from the Beautiful You stamp set. Just seemed fitting that we are celebrating our 1 year anniversary.

Now the cat punch and the black ribbon can be found in the not yet released holiday catalog. So much yummy gotta have it all items in there,

I hope you enjoy our hop and click the arrow button to take you to the next stop!

Happy Stamping!

Let's Celebrate!

Blog Hop 12: Cards for kids...

Hello! my fellow Stampers! This month I am participating in another international blog hop with Global Stamping Friends and boy have we grown - this month we have a large group of stampers joining up to share their adorable creations we have 29 people stamping with us this month!  We are stampers from all over the world, sharing cards for kids. Some of the projects may use products designed for kids and others tweak projects towards kids. For my project, I chose to use Stampin’ Up! two different ones - This Little Piggy's and Balloon Celebration stamp set.
This card started with a piece of Whisper White measuring 8.5 x 5.5 scored at 4.25, the layered pieces are Basic Black at 5.25 x 4.125 followed by the Melon Mambo at 5.125 x 4 and the final layer is whisper white at 3.75 x 5.
I decided that rather than having my pig hold the tradition balloon for his celebration he would catch a cloud and bow. How fun is that? I think it is cute. Imagine all the different things he could catch and take to the party!
To add some color to this adorable Piggy - I colored his ears with our watercolor pencils and use Calypso Coral on his body with Melon Mambo for his tail and the inside of his ears. His feet are colored with the Basic Gray pencil - all of this was gone over iwth a blender pen to bring some softness to the image. The cloud was colored in Daffodil Delight pencil and blender pen. The grass was colored with the Old Olive marker and some little flowers to bring a little bit of whimsy.

This card could easily be done in other colors with any sentiment for any number of occasions.  I hope this encourages you to do your own challenge with stamps you have that are not really for kids per-say and challenge yourself.
When you do, leave me a comment with what you have come up with! I look forward to seeing what you do.  In the meantime - skip on over to the next hop and you will see some more creative ideas! Let’s get stamping!

Christmas in July with a Twist

Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop Badge

Blog Hop 11: Christmas in July with a Twist...

Hello! my fellow Stampers! This month I am participating in another international blog hop with Global Stamping Friends.  We are stampers from all over the world, sharing a holiday project in July BUT we are using a set that isn’t designed specifically for holidays in our projects. For my project, I chose to use Stampin’ Up! Crafting Forever stamp set with Real Red and Dapper Denim.
This card started with a piece of Dapper Denim measuring 8.5 x 5.5 scored at 4.25. the red gift box is 2.25 x 3 6/16 the very vanilla that the pens are on is 2.75 x 1 6/16 layered with back 2 x 3.25.
Embellishments are the gold ribbon approx 16" long with a second piece approximately 8 inches for the bow. Using Scrap Real Red and Very Vanilla I cut out the flower from Flourishing Phrases thinlets  I layered them on a 1" black circle for the bow.
The stamp sets used were Flourishing phrases and Crafting Forever. The flourish created the wrapping paper on the box and the "gift" was the pens. I colored the pens with various inks using my blender pen (Real Red, Dapper Denim, Crushed Curry and Smoky Slate) that seem to work together.  And then when EVERYTHING was colored I used Wink of Stella to bring some little sparkle.

The inside of the card is lined with a 5.25″ x 4″ piece of Very Vanilla the  cardstock and the sentiment and flourishes were stamped in Real Red ink.
This card could easily be done in other colors for any number of occasions.  I hope this encourages you to do your own challenge with stamps you have that are not Christmas and get putting your own twist together. When you do, leave me a comment with what you have come up with! I look forward to seeing what you do.  In the meantime - skip on over to the next hop and you will see some more creative ideas!  Let’s get stamping!
